Software and Downloads
Required Files
The following files are the minimum necessary software acquisitions and downloads needed to set up and run CaveUT.
(From Computer Game Retailers:)
- Unreal Tournament 2004. An installation of CaveUT requires the purchase and installation of one commercial copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 per client PC/screen in the CaveUT setup and an additional one for the server-PC.
(From Planet Jeff Site:)
- ut2004-winpatch3323.exe. This package contains the latest Unreal Tournament 2004 code patch which CaveUT2004 is known to work with. It is a self-extracting archive that will install itself on your existing installation of Unreal Tournament 2004, so do not run it unless you have UT 2004 installed. You can get the latest code patch from Epic Games and CaveUT 2004 will probably work with it...probably.
- CaveUT-2004-v1.1.zip. This is a *.zip file which contains CaveUT-2004-v1.1.ut4mod. Download the zip, and unpack the *.ut4mod file onto your desktop. Then run it to automatically install the CaveUT Mutator and the executable for VRGL, and then it configures UT2004 to work with CaveUT properly. (See the installation instructions.) Source Code: The UMod puts "CaveUT.u" in the UT2004/System diectory as part of the installation. CaveUT.u is both the executable and the source code for the CaveUT Mutator. To read or modify it have to use UnrealEd or UCC, which are free programs that comes with Unreal Tournament 2004 and are distributed free on the web by Epic Games.
Currently, download of CaveUT is offered via http only. If you have any problems obtaining it, contact Jeffrey Jacobson.
Optional Files
- VRGL Source Code. From this page, download VRGL.zip. It has been compiled with MSVC++ 6.0, and other compilers should work.
- CaveUT 2003 v1.0. All the instructions and downloads you need for CaveUT on the older UT 2003.
- CaveUT 436 v1.2. All the instructions and downloads you need for CaveUT on the old Unreal Tournament
