TEMPLE OF HORUS VERSION 127 This version has ambient background music. To install in UT2004: First, install UT2004, normally. You will need 6gig of spare disk space! Copy DM-Horus127.ut2 into c:/ProgramFiles/ut2004/Maps Copy Horus_textures.utx into c:/ProgramFiles/ut2004/Textures When you start UT2004, be sure to turn off the "bots", or you find yourself in a high-tech fire-fight. The simplest way to do this is: Start the game normally, by clicking on the UT2004 shortcut on your desk or in the "Start" directories. From the Main menu select "Instant Action" Select "DM-Horus127" from the list of virtual environments listed, but just CLICK ONCE! Do NOT click twice, or the game will start before you want it to. Select the "Game Rules" tab. Set the number of "Bots" to zero. While you are at it, you might as well set the "Time Limit" to zero, also. Otherwise, you will have only 20 minutes to work with the temple, before the game automatically switches to another virtual world. Press "Play" to start the "game". When you start the "game", you will see a big stupid gun and lot of information along the edges. To turn all that off: Go to the "Settings" menu. You can do this before you start the "game", by clicking on "Settings" from the main menu. You can do it while "playing" (when the temple is visible) by pressing the escape key and clicking on the "settings" button along the bottom of the dialog window which appears. When you are in the settings menu, click on the "HUD" tab. Click the checkbox labeled "Hide HUD". Then, click on the tab labeled "Player" On the right-hand side you will see a pulldown menu labeled "Weapon Hand". Select the option "Hidden" Press the escape key to get out of the settings menu. If you have any problems or questions, contact Jeffrey Jacobson, jeff@planetjeff.net If you plan to distribute any works which incorporate the temple, you must comply with the (very liberal!) open-source license in the file: EgyptTemple_License.txt which can be found in this distribution.
